Self Published in 2005, Firefly was a limited edition of 100 Books, only. It was one of the most expensive books ever sold, at $2000 each.
The Book was sold globally and also at the Louis Vuitton flagship store in Paris. Mr Kamal Nath, Commerce Minister of India released the book.

I always wanted to be a doctor. Complete with stethoscope and a black bag for my medical tools I must honestly admit my doctoral ambitions were somewhat thwarted by the fact that I spent more time musing over how the wardrobe of the medical team should look rather than on the more noble and gory aspects of the trade. Mentally, I was always designing the doctor’s over coat with an interesting pocket detail for his stethoscope. My mind would buzz with designs for dressing up the nurses, designing starched headgear and improvising their aprons, adding frills at the hem…

Taking her engagement with design beyond clothes, she initiated Ritu Beri Fashion Fraternity (RBFF) in 1997 to hand-hold aspiring designers and launch their brands.

Promoting Dynamism
Ritu Beri, was the first Indian Designer to do a fashion show in Paris in 1999, during the Le Semaine de la Haute Couture & she was the first Asian to head a French fashion house in 2000 , Jean Louis Scherrer. She was thus anointed India's first Fashion Queen.

Inspiring Creativity
In 1997, Beri was the first Indian Designer to be featured in PROMOSTYL, a prestigious magazine that forecasts global fashion tends, as the future of Fashion.

Pioneering Luxury
In 2015, Ritu launched The Luxury League, a Not-for-Profit Foundation, established to enhance brand India, globally through its arts, craft and brands, to reimagine the connotations of luxury in an Indian context.

Celebrating Indianness
In 2016, Ritu Beri was appointed Advisor to Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Govt. Of India.

Engaging Craftsmen
Beri was also announced the Advisor to the Surajkund Mela, World's largest craft fair with over a million visitors a year.

Nurturing Culture
Ritu Beri was appointed the cultural and Tourism Ambassador of Uzbekistan in India by the Ministry of Tourism in Uzbekistan in 2019.

Utilizing Resources
In 2019, Beri was appointed Chief Design Consultant for TRIFED-TRIBES INDIA, TRIBES INDIA, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India.
